Bryant Park Ice-Skating Returns to Delight Families this Holiday Season

Bryant Park Winter Village 2021 begins Oct. 29 with free ice-skating and new vendors, food options to be announced

Get ready to start your holiday shopping this month: The Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park announced today it is returning for its 20th season starting Friday, Oct. 29, through Sunday, March 6, 2022. The annual event will feature its famous holiday market lined with lots of unique vendors and festive food offerings. And while there are plenty of options for skating in NYC, including at the Rink at Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park is home to the city's only free-admission ice-skating rink (time to start digging out those skates from last year!).

The Winter Village will also hold its annual Tree Lighting ceremony on Monday, Dec. 6, at 6pm, hosted by Classical Theatre of Harlem producing artistic director Ty Jones. The evening will include live entertainment, fireworks and a special appearance from Santa himself!

Winter Village at Bryant Park Activities

Whether you're an avid or amateur ice-skater, shopaholic, or foodie, spend a day at the village enjoying a variety of fun activities this season, including:

  • The Ice Rink: Open daily, the 17,000-square-foot rink is completely outdoors, and skate time and rentals can be reserved on the website. New skate reservation dates will be released on a rolling basis throughout the season.

  • Holiday Shops: The open-air holiday market will be open daily, Oct. 29-Jan. 2, 2022, and will feature more than 170 new and returning merchants from New York City and around the world.

  • The Lodge by Prime Video: A covered, outdoor skate escape where visitors can cozy up with a festive cocktail or cup of hot cocoa, enjoy delicious eats, watch the ice-skaters, or admire the magnificent tree.

  • Curling Cafe: Enjoy iceless curling that offers guests a dedicated curling lane where two teams of up to four people each can experience "street" or iceless curling for 90 minutes. Each lane is accompanied by a private, heated dome where their teams can warm up and seasonal snacks. Family packages start at $250. Hours: Wednesday-Friday, 3:30-9pm; Saturday, 11:30am-9pm; Sunday, 11:30am-7pm.

  • Cozy Igloos by Prime Video: Heated, clear structures decorated with seasonal decor  that provide an intimate setting for family and friends to enjoy festive food and drinks. Family packages start at $200. Hours: Monday-Friday, 12-9:30pm; Saturday-Sunday, 11:30am-11pm.

Officials will be announcing this year's holiday market merchants, dining options and upcoming  seasonal programming throughout the month. There will also be a Small Business Spotlight where four New York City minority-owned small businesses with annual revenues below $1 million will have the chance to showcase their products in a rent-free booth as part of this season's shop lineup. This year’s featured small businesses will be announced soon.
