Latest Entry: The Indian girls make it 7 in a row with a sweep of Bedford 1 at home

The Indian coach was over heard saying, "we can not any longer hide behind our fledgling status, we must now move forward as veterans". The first game saw the Bisons draw first blood in the top of the second on two walks and three rocket hits. Bisons up 3-0. The bottom of the second had Big K scorch a single to right driving home two, and some aggressive base running by Chello brought the game to even. The top of the third saw the Bison girls mount another rally, scoring 4 times on two walks and another three rocket hits. Bisons 7-3. The bottom of the third saw Sara of the Bisons have a melt down and the O girls exploited her for 5 runs. O up 8-7. The next time any action would be seen was in the last inning and boy were there explosives in the last inning. The Bison girls brought there good hit sticks with them today, yes you guessed it, another three rocket hits. The Indians were down 9-8 in the bottom of the last inning. The bottom of the last saw Minnie Mouse hit a screamer back to the box and she was called out at first on a controversial play at first. With one out and their 5 game winning streak hanging on by a thread, Manda started out in an 0-2 hole and drew a walk. Danny drew a walk and the two roadsters pulled off a double steal. Livvy came up, like Manda started in an 0-2 hole and ripped one to short and Manda on an aggressive play took home on the throw to first. The Indians now find themselves in the driver's seat with Danny at third and two outs. Saam comes to the plate, all are wondering does O settle for a tie or does Saam rise to the occasion. With a 1-1 count Bedford's Sara unheedingly comes with a chest high fastball, Saam's bread and butter pitch. Saam scorched, ripped, crushed, annihilated, torched a walk off blast game winning single to right. O would not be denied. The second game saw the Bisons take the field brow beaten and somewhat lackluster, the Indian coach always emphasizes when opportunity knocks answer the door. The Indians jumped out 5-0. The bottom half of the first was the antithesis of the top of the first, a euphoric Indian team with an insurmountable lead took the field. The ladies of Ossining fell apart by the seems, playing like a bunch of boys, giving up 5 runs and the girls were knocked back down to earth. Tie game 5-5. The second inning saw calm at Snowden. The top of the third saw the O girls regroup and put a 6 run rally together. O goes up 11-5 and that would be the final score. Recognition goes to all twelve Ossining ladies for game one. The whole team participated on defense and the girls showed tremendous resilience with their last inning come from behind win. The first game ball of the Fall season went to Saam for her scorched, ripped, crushed, annihilated, torched walk off blast game winning single to right.
