Hurricane Sandy News from Local Businesses - Rockland-Bergen
The superstorm Sandy (dubbed by news media as "Frankenstorm") rocked Rockland County and much of our surrounding NYC area, affecting many of the businesses in our towns and in neighboring Bergen and Hudson Counties in New Jersey.
Local businesses throughout Rockland County--including Blauvelt, Congers, Stony Point, Valley Cottage, Suffern, Pomona, Pearl River, Nanuet, Monsey, Haverstraw, Sloatsburg, and Tappan--are rising to the challenge of repairing our communities and helping out. Beyond donating food, water, emergency goods, clothing, and money towards relief, you can help by supporting your local businesses as they rebuild.
