Origami Holiday Tree - American Museum of Natural History Date: 11/25/13 through 01/05/14 Ages: All Address: 200 Central Park West - 212-769-5100 New York, NY 10024 amnh.org Description: An annual Museum tradition, the delightfully decorated Origami Holiday Tree has marked the start of the holiday season at the Museum for more than 30 years. Volunteers begin folding in July to complete the 500 creations that will be displayed on the tree. During the holiday season, volunteers will be on hand to teach visitors of all ages the art of origami folding. Past themes have included "Fantastic Creatures: Mythic and Real," "Under the Sea," "Pocket Posy," and "Origami Safari."
