Ages: All Address: Columbus Ave. btw. 62nd & 65th Sts. - 212-875-5000 www.lincolncenter.org Description: "There is a sort of heavenly, or at least more than human, gaiety" about Beethoven's Quartet in A minor, Op. 132, wrote T.S. Eliot, such as "might come to oneself as the fruit of reconciliation and relief after immense suffering. I should like to get something of it into verse before I die." And so he did, in the timeless, contemplative work Four Quartets, performed here in its entirety by British actor Stephen Dillane, followed by the MirĂ³ Quartet's interpretation of the Beethoven work. |
