Description: The Epilepsy Foundation of Long Island hosts a lecture on "Surgical Intervention for Seizure Disorders" by Ashesh Mehta, M.D., PH.D. Dr. Mehta, Director of Epilepsy Surgery for the North Shore-LIJ Health System and Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Hofstra University School of Medicine, will discuss recent advances and new treatment modalities including laser ablation, stereo-electroencephalography and new methods of identifying abnormal brain areas.
