Many were illustrated by prominent artists, mostly working with woodblock prints. The cards were then printed by the Spiral Press, founded in 1926 by Joseph Blumenthal. These cards are on display thanks to Elinor Wilber, Robert Frost's granddaughter, who has loaned them to the Pequot Library for this exhibit.
