Every Child Matters March - Hofstra University Date: 10/04/12 Hours: 11am-3pm Ages: All Address: 100 Hofstra University-Parking Lot A-North Side - 631-885-8044 Hempstead, NY 11549 everychildmatters.org/li Description: The Long Island community and friends is asked to join the group Every Child Matters by marching with signs from Hofstra University to Long Island Children's Museum (11 Davis Avenue, Garden City, NY 11530) to make community leaders aware of the plight of kids: 1 in 5 children does not have access to healthy food, some 4,000 kids do not have a place to call home, and every 50 minutes a case of child abuse or neglect is being reported.
