Other special artifacts include a working jukebox, a hat worn by famous developer Robert Moses, and popular toys from the era, like a Red Ryder BB gun. The exhibition will transport viewers to a time brimming with optimism, with difficulties just below the surface. It was a moment when Long Island was at the forefront of where the nation was-- and where it was headed. The exhibition runs through December 31, 2012. |
