The stories of the honorees are told by New York City public school students. "Spirit of Community: Artists of East Harlem," a visual art exhibit reflects a vibrant and thriving landscape of art in El Barrio. With works by emerging and mid-career artists who make the neighborhood their home, the exhibit captures the sounds, colors, cadences, textures, and people of the East Harlem mosaic, celebrating its joys and its pathos. |
