Description: Field trip opportunities for schools, senior groups and groups visiting NYC at Flamenco Latino Studio: Group Dance Class- One hour group class in flamenco or salsa dance, or both for up to 40 students at our midtown Manhattan studio. Featuring professional instruction and live music. Scheduling available during late mornings and afternoons. Lecture/Demonstration- 45-minute lecture-demonstration and performance in flamenco and the ida y vuelta ("round trip") styles, representing an assimilation of Latino songs and rhythms by flamenco artists which started during the late 1800s. The studio will be converted to a black box theater space with curtains, lighting and seating for an audience of up to 70. Both programs take place at Flamenco Latino Studio 244 W 54th Street, 4th fl. (bet. Broadway and 8th Ave.) The building has an elevator and the studio is wheelchair-accessible.
