Our most wonderful nanny of nearly 2-years is available full time as I’ve decided to leave my job to stay home with my daughter (22-months). Arlene has been with us since my daughter was 3-months old. Arlene has been consistently reliable, flexible with our often erratic schedules and nothing but loving towards our daughter. She began reading to Aina straight away and I attribute much of Aina’s strong interest now in books to Arlene’s persistence. (Not for nothing Arlene’s children are both honors students!) Arlene has always completely respected our wishes for our daughter’s care (regarding TV, diet, etc). She would never let it be known if she disagreed – unless we asked her and then she was always happy to provide helpful, gentle advice. Unbelievably, Arlene also took the initiative to learn words in the language we speak at home with our daughter and she would often have music from our country playing at home when we came home from work. Arlene would always do little things for us around the house to make our lives easier without ever being asked. Arlene has been amazingly patient and persistent with our daughter’s very picky eating. Aina adores her and she visibly adores Aina. My husband and I care for Arlene very much and respect her deeply because she is extremely good at what she does. If you are looking for someone for full-time work, it would be impossible to do any better than to have Arlene as a nanny. There is nothing else we could have asked for for our daughter.
