Summer
Camp programs at the West Side YMCAare as unique as the campers themselves. We focus on developing the
whole child through programs that support children’s social, emotional,
physical, intellectual and spiritual development. We do this by designing
programs that help youth develop communication skills, engage in problem
solving, learn through critical thinking skills and contribute to designing the
programs they participate in each day. We also strive to build self-esteem
through our camp programs by focusing on the abilities of youth rather than
their shortcomings, and our programs provide them with the tools they need to be
happy and productive in life.
