A Montessori Summer offers a rich variety of activities for children from preschool to 6th grade. Activities include visual and performing arts, a variety of athletics, swimming instruction, and outdoor adventures. Molly has been involved with the camp since 2003 and now serves as director. “Beach days are a delight,” says Molly, who grew up on Cape Cod. “Seeing the campers frolicking at the beach makes me feel at home. Patrizia Saglio, director of Collina Italiana, was born in Switzerland and grew up speaking Italian, French and German. She graduated in political science from the prestigious Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, where she worked for several years as an assistant professor and private teacher. Patrizia moved to NY in 1998, and after a stint as co-owner and manager of an international trade company, she decided to open an Italian Cultural Center, offering classes in an authentic cultural setting and combining them with culinary arts, wine and film. Don Braden, Music Director since 1998, is a saxophonist/composer/educator who has worked with many jazz greats including Betty Carter and Wynton Marsalis. He composes for Bill Cosby projects and received a Doris Duke Foundation award. He also teaches for NJPAC and Prince Clause Conservatory. He and a staff of major musicians are thrilled to teach students ages 13 and up.
