Who's greedy and garlic-loving, the anti-thesis of sweet-faced Mario? Why Wario, the rude anti-hero, of course.
Naturally, we at 1415 love Wario's naughty shenanigans since he gets to do all the bad things we'd occasionally like to do but can't for reasons of social propriety and hygiene.
First introduced in the Wario Land series, the crass and surly Wario is back with Shake It! The foul-tempered character is "kicking it old school" in the new Wii game that features 2D side-scrolling action. Wii players hold the remote sideways to make their way through the stages of well-crafted obstacle courses of puzzles, enemies and various hazards. The object is getting all the gold coin from the bottomless coin sack.
The plot is this: Wario gets an antique globe and telescope that let him travel to the formerly idyllic Shake Dimension, now held captive by the tyrannical pirate Shake King. Aided by his longtime rival, Capt. Syrup, Wario must free the imprisoned Merfles of Shake Dimension and rescue their Queen Merelda. He also gets the bottomless sack of gold coins. You didn't think he was in it for altruism, did you?
Rated E for everyone, the game features comic mischief and mild cartoon violence. What did you expect? This is not nice-guy Mario.
Jump, dash and shake your way to riches. Don't forget to eat your garlic.
