Preschool/Early Childhood Center

The Conservative Synagogue Preschool provides a safe, warm and nurturing environment for the education of young children. Our supportive atmosphere is designed to foster the development of each child’s unique potential. We encourage children to be active and creative explorers, while building on their independence and self-confidence.
As part of The Conservative Synagogue (TCS) community, we integrate Jewish customs and heritage into our early childhood program, We foster individual growth while embracing Jewish family and community values, including love, friendship, kindness, and charity.
We believe that children grow in a setting where the process of learning is an adventure in acquiring social, intellectual, emotional, and creative skills. Our children learn to be comfortable with themselves, with family, with us, and with Judaism. The Conservative Synagogue Preschool is open to families of all religious and cultural backgrounds.
The Program
We believe children are active learners who construct an understanding of the world around them through play and exploration of their environment. Teachers support and enhance children’s learning by providing a cognitively-challenging, culturally rich, and aesthetically pleasing environment. The TCS Preschool is open to all families who wish to attend. We welcome children from differing religious and ethnic backgrounds.
Our Values: As a Synagogue Preschool we are dedicated to exposing our children to the richness of Jewish values and traditions. Our goal is to help children establish a positive Jewish identity, gain knowledge of their history and religious observances, thereby planting the seeds to a lifelong connection to living a Jewish life. Three key values we promote throughout the year are: Tikkun Olam (repair of the world), Hachnasat Orchim (hospitality), and Yad Ezra (helping hand). As children become aware of these and many other middot (values), we label these virtues, and make them a part of the overall Preschool culture.
