Our after-school and Saturday classes are structured as a series of age-appropriate projects that are both challenging and enjoyable. Each year your child will master increasingly difficult skills in drawing, painting and sculpture. Older children will be able to create their own projects and work on personal areas of interest. Would your child enjoy spending the day making a number of exciting art projects when school is closed? Then All-Day Art is for you! These special all-day art classes meet on school holidays. A generous snack is provided, but children will need to bring their own lunch and beverages. Classes are held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. During each All-Day Art session, the children will generally do one large art project of their choosing and several smaller ones. Past projects have included plaster bandage animals, painting from photographs, imaginary craypas drawings, portraits, and watercolor paintings of flowers. Want something truly unique for your child's next birthday? Try a Real Art party at The Art Center! Each party provides TWO (2) full hours of fun, while guests work on an amazing art project chosen by you and your child. We will provide invitations, cake (several choices) and pizza, juice, balloons, candles, and all paper goods. We also provide a mural and T-shirt for your child's friends to decorate with birthday wishes. All this for $695 for the first 10 children, $30 for each additional child. Maximum of 25 children. Imagine your child spending one or more weeks this summer making a huge variety of exciting drawing, painting and sculpture projects, listening to stories, and enjoying an active recess! That's what our Mostly Art Summer Program is all about. Mostly Art camp classes are small with a high ratio of teachers to students, so your child will get lots of personal attention. The Art Center isn't just for kids - we have exciting programming for teens and adults as well. Our after-school classes and workshops for teens include Fashion Illustration, Manga Cartooning, and Portfolio Workshop. For adults we offer a number of "specialized" weekly art classes, including fashion illustration, ceramics, watercolor, pastels, and cartooning, and also schedule intensive two- to three-hour workshops year round for creative adults and their friends.
