Rockland County's ultimate Halloween celebration, said to attract more than 20,000 people, is reputed to be the largest such event in the tri-state area outside of Greenwich Village. Marchers and floats gather at 4pm in Memorial Park then proceed to downtown Nyack. This year's Parade will feature marching bands, a Festival of Ghouls, Suburbia Roller Derby of Westchester, Amazing Grace Circus, Hudson Vagabond Puppets, Hook and Ladder Companies from around Rockland, and more. Related festivities start at 3pm at the Municipal Parking Lot on Main Street with a Dog Masquerade Ball, Pumpkin Decorating Contest, and live music. Rain date: October 23.
