Shoppers can purchase a 25 percent off coupon valid at all Macy's stores on Aug. 25, during the store's annual "Shop for a Cause" sale. Proceeds from the savings pass sales will benefit the March of Dimes.
Macy's and March of Dimes invite customers to participate in the seventh annual "Shop For A Cause" charity shopping event at Macy’s stores nationwide on Aug. 25.
"Shop For A Cause" is Macy’s one-day shopping event created to support local charities' fundraising efforts. It has helped raise more than $42 million for charitable organizations across the country since 2006.
On Saturday, Aug. 25, customers making a purchase with a "Shop For A Cause" savings pass will receive 25 percent off regular, sale, and clearance items, as well as 10 percent off watches, furniture, mattresses, and area rugs. They’ll also be eligible to win a $500 gift card.
Shopping passes sold at Macy's stores (find a location near you) and macys.com are $5 each and will benefit March of Dimes. The organization will receive 100 percent of every ticket sold at Macy's stores and on macys.com. Shopping passes are only sold on macys.com on Aug. 25, but customers may purchase shopping passes in advance at all Macy's locations starting Aug. 15.
"This sale is a great way for families to shop for their fall necessities," says Shalini Wittstruck, mother of the March of Dimes 2012 national ambassador, 6-year-old Kieran Wittstruck. "Kieran grows so fast and always needs new clothes. Macy's Shop For A Cause is a great way to get him what he needs, while supporting the March of Dimes work to prevent preterm birth."
