NYMETROPARENTS WRITER'S GUIDELINES
Davler Media Group publishes eight award-winning monthly magazines — Big Apple Parent, Queens Parent, Brooklyn Parent, Westchester Parent, Rockland Parent, Fairfield Parent, Suffolk Parent, and Nassau Parent.
The combined circulation is over 400,000. Our articles are also posted on our website, www.NYMetroParents.com.
We consider both pitches and full articles. Keep in mind that we do not publish: memoir, fiction, or poetry or humor pieces. We are not currently reading travel pieces. It is also difficult to place essays; we are currently publishing only 2-3 per year.
***Due to large numbers of submissions, we cannot respond to every submission, but rest assured all are read. We will contact those we have possible interest in assigning. The best way to land an assignment is to familiarize yourself with our articles and the easiest way to do this is to read through several articles on our website before you send your submission. Feature articles run 800-900 words; 600 words for department articles.
When sending your submission of a full-length article, please include the following:
Two samples of your writing
A sidebar of key takeaway points
A pull quote
Include contact info for anyone quoted for fact checking.
