The NYMetroParents blogroll features the best blogs in the parenting world, from New York and beyond. Here's a closer look at why we love these mom bloggers and dad bloggers and how they're shaping the web for parenting today.
Blogging From: Brooklyn, NY
Maggie, is a full-time mom, part-time blogger living in Brooklyn with her two kids and documenting it on her blog, Real Family Time. Her blog is all about fun, unique ways to spend quality time with your family. Past entries have been primarily about interesting recipes (they’re big fans of Betty Crocker’s work) that are staples on her table and how to make them while photo posts document tea parties hosted by none other than the kids.
Posts share ideas on things to do with your kids, or traditions you might want to try along with lots of other fun ideas for quality family bonding. This blog offers creative ways for indoor play, but also shares ideas on what to do with the kids out of the house. Real Family Time helps you pry the kids away from the TV, video games, or movies with engaging outdoor activities. Maggie also has a sister blog called Real Family Camping that’s all about cooking out in the wilderness. Family Time’s outdoor activities are much tamer, like building a fort outside, and still just as fun. — Leeann Moreau
