The Queens County Farm Museum goes Native American again this year as it hosts the Thunderbird American Indian Pow-Wow — beginning Friday, July 28 and continuing through Sunday, July 30.

The colorful event will feature three days of inter-tribal dance competitions, with more than 40 Indian nations represented. Chanting, drumming and brilliantly colored, finely detailed regalia will provide stimulating entertainment for all ages. Dozens of American Indian art and craft vendors will be on site.

Food booths will feature such items as Fry Bread and Navajo Tacos! Families will also be able to stroll the beautiful grounds of the Queens County Farm Museum in Floral Park, pet farm animals, take hayrides ($2 per person), tour the historic Adriance Farmhouse, and purchase fresh farm grown produce.

Hours are Friday, 7-10 pm (dancing only); Saturday, 1–5 pm and 7–10 pm; and Sunday, 1-5 pm. For travel directions and additional event information, call (718) 347-3276, or visit www.queensfarm.org.
