Hitting stores nationwide on Oct. 9, this brand new DVD from Monster High will encourage kids to be themselves, even as they dress up in costume for Halloween.

Monster High Ghouls Rule DVDIf your kids love Monster High, get ready for next week -- the newest DVD in the series, Monster High Ghouls Rule, is hitting stores nationwide on Oct. 9.

For those not in the know, the Monster High series started out as Mattel dolls and has since launched into a full-fledged empire. The characters are now featured in young adult novels, web series, television shows, and of course on DVD this Halloween season. The teens featured are the kids of famous monsters such as Frankenstein, Dracula, and Medusa, but they have cute names like Clawdeen Wolf, Cleo de Nile and her older sister Nefera, Lagoona Blue, and Ghoulia Yelps and they deal with the same issues any high school students might have to handle...with a little bit of a twist.

Monster High's Ghouls Rule connects kids to their favorite students of Monster High, including Frankie Stein, Draculaura, and the other imperfect yet loveable teen kids of the world's most famous monsters. In this film the kids work to restore Halloween as a day for freaky yet fabulous monsters to celebrate their individuality and show everyone that it's okay to be yourself, even if your self is a monster.

The movie is also sure to inspire awesome costume ideas -- don't be surprised if your child watches it over and over, trying to memorize the details in Clawdeen's outfits or Frankie Stein's face, so that they can spend Halloween as members of Monster High.

This movie is perfect for older kids to watch either alone or with a parent, and provides a great opportunity for parents to talk to their teen or pre-teen about the importance of being an individual.
