When children are hospitalized, it's most frequently for asthma and ear infections like pneumonia and bronchitis, according to a new governmental report.

This is true for kids age 1-9. But in the age group 10-14, depression and other mental disorders were the main diagnoses. In ages 15-17, pregnancy or childbirth had most teens hospitalized.

The report, issued by the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality was published in The Journal of the Ambulatory Pediatrics Association.
