Just as death is a part of life, grief is an experience everyone must undergo at some time. Parents are often caught offguard by the hurt and pain of their grieving children and the need to provide comfort and guidance. The Family Bereavement Program at North Shore Child and Family Guidance Center in Roslyn Heights has prepared a new pamphlet that can help, entitled "Children and Grief - A Guide For Parents". The Program also offers group or individual therapy for children, adolescents and parents to help with the process of reconciling grief and loss. To receive the pamphlet, send a SASE envelope to: Bereavement Pamphlet, North Shore Child and Family Guidance Center, ATT: J.E. Yazdpour, 480 Old Westbury Road, Roslyn Heights, NY 11577. For more information, call (516) 626-1971.
