Description: Competitive Eater and Brooklyn native, Joey Chestnut is back in Brooklyn…but not for the hot dogs! Rather, Chestnut returns to crown Brooklyn’s “Hottest Dog” in honor of Banfield Pet Hospital’s grand opening inside the new Brooklyn PetSmart location on Saturday, November 12.

All New York pets and pet parents are encouraged to bring their pups down to Banfield’s Brooklyn location for a shot at being named the “Hottest Dog” by Chestnut. Three winners will be awarded a year’s worth of free veterinary care from Banfield Pet Hospital.

Chestnut will greet each of the canine contestants, looking for qualities such as: • Pooch Personality • Cute Canine • Owner’s Interpretation of “Hot” • Display of Affection

While pouches prance for Chestnut, pet parents can chow down (not competitively) on free dogs from Brooklyn’s iconic Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs, straight out of an authentic hot dog cart. All are welcome to come out to celebrate the exciting addition to the Brooklyn community, a howling good time!
