Description: This Halloween, Ripley's Believe It or Not! Times Square is turning its 18,000-square-foot Odditorium into a haunted playground with Ripley's Boo-lieve It or Not! Slumber Fest. A spooky twist on Ripley's Times Square's famed "Extreme Sleepover," this outrageous overnight experience offered on October 28 and October 29, featuring outrageous performances with a Ripley's edge – where seeing is believing, plus trick or treating, a costume contest, flashlight scavenger hunt, and even the thrill of a late night haunted house.
Upon arrival, guests will witness show-stopping acrobats by famed entertainer Bubble Boy along with dare-devil stunts by Professor Danger. Kids will trick-or-treat while exploring oddities from around the globe such as the world's largest display of shrunken heads, a vampire killing kit and eight-foot tall Transformer statue made completely of used car parts. At the stroke of midnight, the lights turn out for a thrilling haunted scavenger hunt.
"We've upped the ante on our popular Extreme Sleepover to create the ultimate Halloween celebration," said Michael Hirsch, President/General Manager of Ripley's Believe It or Not! Times Square. "And if a scavenger hunt in the dark doesn't thrill scare-seeking youngsters …there's always a sleeping bag next to our hissing cockroaches."
Ripley's Boo-lieve It or Not! Slumber Fest includes admission to Ripley's Odditoriom; Halloween themed scavenger hunt; late-night haunted house; access to Ripley's Impossible LaseRace™; dinner, breakfast and snacks; a screening of a Halloween themed family movie; costume contest with prizes; live entertainment; and a souvenir goody bag featuring bug candy and an exclusive 'I Survived Ripley's Boo-lieve It or Not! Slumber Fest' t-shirt. All guests need to bring is a sleeping bag, pillow, pajamas, flashlight, costume and their curiosity. Available on October 28 and 29, 2011, Slumber Fest begins at 7pm, ends at 8am the next morning and is suitable for children ages 6 and up. One adult (over age 21) is required for every four children attending.
Admission to Ripley's Boo-lieve It or Not! Slumber Fest is $129 per person. Advance tickets are offered with the reduced price just $116 a person when purchased by September 9, 2011.
