Description: A night of Romantic French music featuring the unique combination of the violin and voice on Friday, September 16 at 7:30pm at Christ and St.Stephen's Church in New York. Program of French art songs and violin sonatas including works by Faure, Franck, Poulenc, Debussy, Ravel, Ysaye and Donizetti, and ending with an exciting violin-voice-piano trio, "Dans Le Soir," by Camille Saint-Saens. New York violinist Akiko Kobayashi, praised for her "warm tone and precise and honest playing, with no artificial effects," performs with Canadian lyric soprano Vania Chan, who has delighted audiences with her "lovely effortless singing and crystal clear tone."
