Description: João Kouyoumdjian is a young classical guitar virtuoso and has developed an international career since 2006. At BEA Mr. Kouyoumdjian will present an eclectic repertory written or arranged for solo guitar by Brazilian composers. Kouyoumdjian explores and pushes the instrument sonority and at the same time deals with an exemplar and traditional technique. The program will include works by Marco Pereira, Villa-Lobos, Tom Jobim, Raimundo Penaforte, Ricardo Calderoni, Garoto (Annibal Augusto Sardinha), among others.
