Description: A choir of New York City students joins conductor David Robertson and the Orchestra of St. Luke's for a definitive performance of Orff's Carmina Burana. In addition, three high school–aged composers have been selected to write new works for chorus and orchestra based on the musical themes of Carmina Burana. These new works will be premiered on the first half of the program.

Venue Description: Carnegie Hall, renowned universally as one of the most prestigious venues in the US for classical and popular music, distinguished by its beauty, history and majestic acoustics, brings extraordinary music and musicians to its three stages year-round. In addition to hosting classical music and symphony performances, vocal recitals, music festivals, and multicultural world music, Carnegie Hall provides education programs and fosters the future of music through the cultivation of new works, artists, and audiences.

Carnegie Hall is located at 881 Seventh Ave. (between West 56th and 57th streets) in Midtown Manhattan, two blocks south of Central Park. A limited number of student/senior citizen discount tickets, priced at $10, are available for select Carnegie Hall presentations in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. The tickets go on sale at the Box Office at 12pm on the day of the performance until one hour before concert time. $10 tickets for Weill Recital Hall events, subject to availability, go on sale one hour before concert time. There are also a limited number of partial-view seats, priced at $10, which are available for Carnegie Hall presentations that take place in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, excluding Carnegie Hall Family Concerts and gala events. These tickets are available to the general public on a first-come, first-served basis at the Carnegie Hall Box Office only, starting at 12pm on the day of the performance. Carnegie Hall is wheelchair-accessible and provides assistive-listening devices free of charge as well as large print programs for Carnegie Hall presentations. Patrons in wheelchairs may make arrangements through the House Manager's Office at 212-903-9605.
